Iron roof lantern

This challenging project involved the restoration of a wrought-iron roof lantern as part of the refurbishment of a property in Eaton Square, London.

Newton Forge undertook the whole of the restoration; removing, repairing, refitting and reglazing the dome. The original laminated glass was replaced with toughened curved glass pieces which had to be individually cut to fit the irregularities in the wrought iron dome.

We were able to use our close links with glazing specialists to bring the two elements together and ensure the success of the project.
