TRADITIONAL IRONWORK & RESTORATION

Do you have gates or railings which need professional restoration? We provide a service across the UK. Let us quote for your requirements.

Newton Forge has long been involved in restoration projects for private estate owners and organisations like The National Trust. The point about such work is that it was carried out originally by craftsmen using traditional methods, and the same methods have to be employed in the restoration process. In our field, that can involve forge welding, leaf work, special forged ends, tenoned and riveted joints (screwed or hot collared), then a multi-coat, hand painted finish.

The experience gained from meeting such exacting standards has been put to good use in all our ironwork. However, The Heritage Range, the name we apply to work of restoration quality, remains rather special. For that reason, some of our products carry the Heritage symbol, an assurance of workmanship and craftsmanship which simply can’t be bettered.
