He has learnt and developed a huge range of techniques and designs. With
the team of craftsmen now working at Newton Forge he has produced a range
of standard gates with high quality and popular appeal. The gates are
always made from quality solid steel and produced to look as traditional
as possible. Hot forge work in the fire and age-old methods together with
modern technology and tools combine to give a superior product designed
to last generations.

SIZES
We offer a large range of width sizes commonly asked for as standard.
Gates can be made to fit specific openings using adjustable hinges,
additional posts and by positioning the hinges between or behind existing
gate piers. Should we not be able to overcome any size problem we
do offer a made to measure service.
FINISHES
Our standard outdoor finish comprises of 2 coats anti corrosive primer
and 1 coat of semi-gloss enamel. We can offer to paint your gate any
colour you wish so long as we are given a RAL number or a British
Standard Number. This service may cost extra. Alternative finishes
are available at extra cost. These include shot blasting, hot zinc
spraying, powder coating and galvanizing. Please ask for advice if
unsure of your requirements.
POSTS AND HINGES
All gates will include some type of hinge. If hanging between existing
piers please state exact opening size and whether gates are to be
hung between or behind the pier. Posts are supplied at extra cost
and are made to suit each individual gate style. Post tops can be
plain or decorated with a gothic finial or ball top. Please state
your preference. |
