Eaton Square Dome

Project: Restoration of wrought iron and glass roof dome

 

This challenging project involved the restoration of a glass roof dome as part of the refurbishment of a property in Eaton Square, London.

 

Newton forge undertook the whole of the restoration; removing, repairing, refitting and reglazing the dome. The original laminated glass was replaced with toughened curved glass pieces which has to be individually cut to fit the irregularites in the wrought iron dome. We were able to use our close links with glazing specialsts to bring the two elements together and ensure the success of the project.
